Of course you want your favourite items to last as long as possible, but what's the best way to take good care of polyester? We give you a few tips:
Polyester garments should be washed at a maximum of 40°C, but to enjoy your items for as long as possible, we recommend you stick to 30°C. Too high temperatures can cause synthetic fabrics to shrink. However, a special cold or gentle cycle is not necessary for polyester.
Turning on the laundry before heading out the door? A time-saving choice, but not recommended with garments made of polyester. This versatile fabric dries super fast and is therefore best hung on the washing line straight after a wash.
The big advantage of polyester; you don't really need to iron it. Saves time, right? This material is elastic and retains its shape, making it (almost) non-creasing and allowing you to store it in various ways. Should you still want to iron your garments, make sure you do so at a low temperature or with a dish towel for protection. This will prevent melting.
